Description
The Associate Product Manager (Other Hardware) will be responsible for the merchandising of all product solutions and categories in a cross functional capacity for BBFB. This role will also be responsible for all product revenue and margin budgets and goals sourced from distribution, direct from vendor, and internal supply chain as developed by his/her manager. Specific categories for this role fall under Other Hardware, specifically non-cpu hardware: Appliances, Gen Merch, and New Business product categories. The Associate Product Manager will collaborate with the Supply Chain analysts to determine availability and establish pricing contracts with distribution and vendor partners. The Associate Manager's role is to help drive communication and execution of marketing strategy with the PM and Creative teams to create customer demand. The Associate Product Manager is required to manage overall sku mix, pricing and sku maintenance. The APM will also help execute exclusive and channel manufacturer programs, product promotions, and deals.
Essential Functions
Product Revenue and Margin Management
? Maintain product and mfr mix to achieve overall target contribution to organization.
Manage price and pricing strategy as directed by Supervisor.
Product and Manufacturer Assortment
? Responsibilities around the right manufacturer mix to meet the needs of our customers.
? Manage product assortment and mix to deliver on key customer solutions and business requirements per the direction of their Supervisor.
? All product markups and promotional pricing to be input by APM.
? Maintain Product description, weight, and pricing.
? Work with Vendor Partnerships team around Manufacturer assortment, Marketing plans and expectations for each partner relative to return on investment and overall strategy.
Product Managemer to manage and update Line card quarterly. Team to work with the Vendor Partnership team to maintain alignment.
Product Merchandising
? Manage all Product Marketing activities and promotions.
? Work with Marketing and Creative teams to deliver consistent solution and product promotions.
? Product Management to oversee activities via Direct Mail, catalog, web activities, broadcast email and Sales Floor Promotions.
? Manage compliance with pricing strategies, legal requirements and warranty or rebate programs.
Promotional Planner to be communicated and collaborated with all Business Unit owners across all sales channels and business units.
Communication and Reporting
? Help drive and build regular communication within each sales channel and support area to drive their category.
? Manager will provide reporting to Supervisor to develop accurate and timely changes to margin and mix to maintain or exceed budget deliverables.
? Build tools and resources for sellers to access to assist in driving the categories.
Basic Qualifications
- 2 or more years Vendor Management experience
- 2 or more years Negotiation (Contract and Program) experience
- 2 or more years' Assortment Planning experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 or more years Appliances/Commodities/New Business Category Management experience
- Bachelors degree or higher
